About Wisdom Tooth Extraction Ireland

We publish an independent guide to wisdom tooth extraction, IV sedation and Form Med 2 tax relief in Ireland, and connect you with one Dental Council-registered clinic in your county.

Free, no obligation. One registered dental clinic in your county replies, not five.

An independent guide

When you send an enquiry, we pass it with your consent to one Dental Council-registered dental clinic or oral surgeon covering your county. They examine the tooth, review or take an OPG X-ray, give you a written treatment plan and fee, and carry out the procedure.

How our price guide works

Our price guide shows typical Irish private dental and oral surgery fee ranges (€150 to €300 for a simple erupted extraction, €350 to €500 for surgical removal of 1 impacted wisdom tooth, €700 to €1,400 for 2 to 4 impacted teeth in one sitting, and €350 to €450 per session for conscious IV sedation), alongside the 20% non-routine dental tax relief available on Revenue's Form Med 2 for surgical extraction of impacted wisdom teeth. Your exact fee always comes in writing from the treating dentist or oral surgeon after reviewing your X-ray.

County figures

County population and dentist figures are our sums from CSO Census 2022 tables F1003, F1015 and F7042 (2215 Dental practitioners).
